A handbuilt ceramic basket in stoneware clay - a truly unique and personal piece, perfect for holding fruit or your breakfast eggs.
Here’s how the baskets are made:
After carefully kneading the clay, I roll it out and cut it into long, thin strips. I then weave them over a mold and let the clay dry just enough, and at just the right pace, to prevent cracking. When the item is finished, it can be bisque fired, then glazed, and then high-fired. The whole process takes several weeks from start to finish.
