Inspired by the soft, diffused glow of classic glass bricks, the Galby Lamp brings a warm, rhythmic light to any corner of your home. What began as a simple sketch evolved through digital precision into a physical object defined by the delicate interplay of light and shadow.
I wanted to redefine how we engage with the objects in our daily lives. Instead of fumbling for a hidden cord switch, the Galby Lamp invites you to interact directly with its form. A simple, intuitive turn of the shade brings your room to life or dims it for the night, making the act of "turning on the light" a sensory experience.
Whether perched on a bedside table or nestled on a windowsill, the Galby Lamp is a conversation starter that feels as good as it looks. From the visible rhythm of the 3D-printed layers to the intentional "click" of the mechanism, every detail is considered.
Designed, printed, and hand-assembled in our studio in Gothenburg, Sweden.
