This piece was inspired by a photo taken by a visitor at Cay Collective’s summer festival at Trädgården in 2025. Emilia hosted a competition where attendees submitted their favorite summer memories—and the winner received a custom poster based on their own image.
The painting captures the calm beauty of Torekov’s iconic pebble beach, where land meets sea in soft tones and quiet textures. The name Stenstranden reflects both the rocky shoreline in the image, and a subtle nod to the song “Stenstrand” by Lily Wahlsteen—a piece that evokes the same peaceful, nostalgic mood as the painting itself.
