The written words symbolize a desire to be seen, heard, and accepted, while the tape serves as a reminder of the obstacles – both physical and emotional – that we place between ourselves and others. The artwork is a poetic reflection on the eternal interaction between desire and distance, between the courage to love and the fear of being hurt. It invites us to question our own boundaries and perhaps, just perhaps, allow ourselves to receive the good things life has to offer.
