A sunny poster created by Jessica Jämting, with the original painted in acrylic on watercolor paper. Printed in Sweden on 180 gsm Nordic Swan Ecolabelled matte paper.
Inspired by the sunny atmosphere of 1970s Italy and the incredible song Maledetto Sogno by Toto Cutugno, Jessica Jämting created this poster. In fact, she didn’t realize this inspiration while painting—it was only afterwards that she thought, “Oh, this gives me vibes of Sicily, of a sun-warmed Italy, and of the amazing feeling that Maledetto Sogno evokes.”
That’s often how her creative process works: Jessica doesn’t always know what the artwork will become while she’s making it, but afterwards it suddenly feels completely clear.
Maledetto Sogno means “Cursed Dream” in Italian. Beautiful, isn’t it? 🌞
