Product Description

Cup in beige stoneware clay with white spots. Holds approximately 2,5 dl.

This is part of a series I call "MAGMA", inspired by irregular forms in nature. Magma exists naturally in the bedrock and creates an interesting, mottled pattern as it pushes through the earth's crust during volcanic eruptions. Similar patterns can be found in the forest, in lichen on stones, or in the bark of birch trees. The small brown iron spots remind me of the beautiful imperfections found on peoples skin.

Ceramics is a craft and every piece is unique. In my work there is a living, personal and handmade expression where perfection is not always the goal. Therefore, variations in shape, shade and size may occur.
