Ellinor Åkesson is the creator behind “KRAM ELLINOR”. “Kram” means hug in Swedish and that is what she want her art to feel like- like a warm embrace in your everyday life. Ellinor creates both art and functional objects. Clay is her primary material. She alternates between wheel-throwing and hand-building, often arriving at rounded forms and glazes that are allowed to take on a life of their own.

Her inspiration often comes from emotions, people, nature, and music. Creating is a way for her to embody these experiences. Through her work, she is able to share both the light and the dark — everything that has always been running wild within her.
