A biomorphic bag simulated from the nostalgia of finding those perfect pink shells in the sand. The Macoma Balthica [östersjömussla], that since the last melting of the ice ages ice has been a crucial part of our nordic waters ecosystem. The Macoma Balthica is a piece created out of the overwhelming nostalgia a landscape can evoke. The scent of pine, the wind’s soft hum, the golden shadows in the sand all draws us back to where we’re from. With a tender ache of yesterday a glimpse of belonging on earth.
Handmade in crochet couture with second hand carpet warp, hand dyed with black tea and decorated in cotton thread and a pink gem.
