In Swedish we use "hon bara ä sån" either if we want to explain a womans behaviour, with the goal of letting her be the way she is, good or bad. It is a statement that can be discussed in between codependency or acceptance!
Where do we draw the line of acceptance? That's just the way she is could be used in deeply empowerment of women, or in accepting behaviours that should be called out for.
I wanted first to draw a man standing there the same way she does, but quickly realized that it would have totally different meaning with a man standing in a kiddy pool with " thats just the way he is". Food for thought.

This is an original painting, size 40 x 50 cm on thin 100% cotton canvas ( without wooden frame). Mostly suitable for standing on shelf without frame, or in a thick frame.
