A small handmade ceramic offering dish with symbolic red drip glaze, inspired by East Asian traditions of leaving gifts for ancestors, deities and local spirits.
This small three footed tray/dish is designed for personal altars, shrines and spiritual spaces. It can hold small offerings like candies, flowers, crystals, jewellery or other meaningful objects.
The design references the ancient Chinese character 示, originally associated with an sacrificial altar as it depicts something on an altar (today the character means "to show" something). Red droplets in the glaze carry the historical symbolism of living offerings into the surface of the dish.
Handmade in Sweden from Swedish clay and fired using renewable electricity. Natural variations in colour, glaze and shape make every offering dish unique.
