Product Description
Product Description
A handmade stoneware bonsai pot with an integrated drainage tray, finished with a blue-grey glaze and burgundy markings.
Built by hand using coiling and pinching techniques, this shallow ceramic planter has a softly irregular rectangular shape and a textured surface.
The art of bonsai (盆栽) requires pots with ability for restricted nutrition and sometimes temperature to grow old and well, this pot allows that.
The inner planting compartment and surrounding tray are attached as one unit. Small drainage holes allow excess water to pass from the planting area into the outer tray. Stones and gravel can be used on the outer part to build up good conditions for moss around the bonsai.
Its low profile frames a small bonsai tree while the earthy glaze complements the foliage and trunk. Handmade in Stockholm and fired using renewable electricity.
