These paintings are inspired by my childhood watercolor paintings on paper. I explored the compositions and rhythms of the childhood works, but contrasted them more to reach a higher intensity in the paintings. The bold and expressive paint strokes inspired me, and are recreated in the grown-up versions.
The two paintings are closely related but can also be bought separately. The childhood drawing is not for sale.
