BatVader at Palais Garnier, Paris Original

January 7, 2026. 😊 I had a booking for guided tour at Palais Garnier, Paris. There was still snow on the ground and it was very cold. After waiting in line for a while at the entrance, I have entered to this glorious building. There was a funny incident at the security check point. 😄 It takes your breath away from the first step inside. You can’t decide where to look. I was thinking of having a regular tour but I had the best advisor for Paris so I was strongly told to do a guided tour. Merci, I’m glad I did. You learn so much about the place, the history and the details. After the guided tour ended, I stayed more, walked all around a few times. I have spend 3 hours inside until the closing of the visiting hours. Couldn’t get enough of seeing this marvelous place. If you haven’t visited Palais Garnier, you definitely should. And if you have, you understand what I mean. I looked if I could watch an event as I did in Barcelona but there wasn’t any available. As they say, “there is always a reason to go back.”, right? 🤞🏻

This painting is from the Grand Foyer part. I was literally stunned by the level of details and craftsmanship. (There are a few interesting facts that you learn from the guided tour.) I’ve been to this area a few times to see it again and again. Just stood on one corner and watched the room. Making paintings from my travels make me feel emotional as I’m painting and afterwards when I look at them. I feel gratitude that I could see these places and trying to reflect the moment with my best ability. I believe they were the right moments. This is my way of saying, “I was there.” However, these paintings are not about me. They are about you. Have you felt the same when you have been to these places? Or would you feel the way I did if you had gone?
