I call the journey I’m on now “Perfect Gone Crazy.” And I know you might not really see it until you understand that my need to create something that satisfies my perfectionism has been so strong that I haven’t shown my art to an audience — until now.

So, to simplify the creative process for myself, I’ve started painting with looser, less precise brushstrokes and learning to appreciate the painting as a whole, rather than getting lost in the details.

Another thing. My need for constant stimulation means I never paint the same thing twice.
