Adorned Dirt

My artistic philosophy is built on contrasts: the beautiful and the dirty, the feminine and the urban. I call it Adorned Dirt – a union of women and graffiti.

I create collages on canvas where graffiti, torn posters, and female portraits meet in a raw yet playful style. My works are characterized by female figures wearing a scribbled crown – my signature. Every woman deserves a crown.

Each painting is composed of black-and-white photographs of women and graffiti impressions from electrical boxes and urban surfaces. I tear, fold, cut, and glue the materials by hand – a physical process that gives the work both structure and tension. Fragments of Malmö’s poster culture – often torn-down street posters – are always used in the background and often in the central layers of the piece. Some works are partially colored with spray paint, while others remain black and white to preserve a more minimal expression.
