About Todorova Asplund
Artist, illustrator and jewellery designer Martina Todorova Asplund is born and raised in Bulgaria, now seated near the Swedish west coast. In her art, she brings her key values and goals:
》 Reuse, reduce, recycle. All jewellery is, in some capacity, made from locally sourced materials for reuse. That includes beads from thrifts jewellery, and metals from food-grade packaging.
》Immerse yourself in our world's beauty, our find yourself on other-worldly journeys. Seeing magic in everyday settings and nature, Martina builds a fantasy universe of rescaled creatures in eerie landscapes.
》Be your unapologetic self. Choose too much, or just a little, or both. Creating bold, out-of-the-box designs lies in the core of Martinas creative practice. Colorful combinations of glass beads, ceramic beads, semi precious stones and freshwater pearls, invite you to express yourself, and effortlessly stand out.
