Collection: Marica Lindh

My name is Marica Lindh, and I am a self-taught artist based in Luleå, Norrbotten.
My background as a dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher has deeply influenced my artistic practice. Movement and the language of the body are a constant presence in my paintings.

I work mainly figuratively with abstract elements. Female figures and dancers often appear in my work, where I explore subtle expressions, contrasts, and emotional states. I am fascinated by the interplay between stillness and movement, softness and sharpness, the visible and what can only be sensed.

I mostly paint with acrylics, sometimes combined with oil sticks to create layers and details. I usually paint on canvas, but also on paper.

Through my paintings, I want to evoke something in the viewer – a mood, a thought, or a memory.
