Mr Rabbit is a playful yet provocative sculpture inspired by the iconic shapes and colors of classic sex toys, with a direct nod to the famous rabbit vibrator known as Mr. Rabbit. The name draws from the well-known erotic shop Taboo in Malmö, a local landmark for sensual exploration since 1967.
Crafted with a deliberate touch of naughtiness, the piece features a form that echoes the dual-stimulation design of rabbit-style toys—elegant curves and a cheeky, suggestive silhouette intended to evoke both comfort and forbidden delight. The coloring mimics the vibrant, silky hues of Mr. Rabbit: bold pinks, purples, and fuchsia tones applied with spray paint in a partial, teasing manner. Some areas remain intentionally transparent, allowing the embedded coffee beans to peek through like hidden secrets beneath the glossy surface.
Made from resin infused with real coffee beans and finished with selective spray paint layers, Taboo balances glossy opacity with translucent glimpses, creating a tactile contrast that invites closer inspection. The exposed beans add an organic, earthy texture that contrasts beautifully with the smooth, sensual resin—blending everyday comfort (coffee) with intimate taboo.
