A matcha scented candle in a wheel-thrown stoneware matcha bowl, made to enjoy as a candle and keep for your tea ritual.
Cream and grey clays swirl through the bowl in soft, flowing bands with lava spots. The marbled pattern comes from the clay itself, using the neriage or agateware technique. Throwing the mixed clays on the wheel stretches the colours around the rounded body, making each pattern unique.
Once the candle is finished and the vessel is thoroughly cleaned, the bowl becomes a functional matcha bowl for preparing and drinking tea.
Each ceramic vessel is handmade by ALKERAMIK in our small Stockholm studio, then brought to life as an exclusive scented candle in collaboration with Södermalms Ljusfabrik, who develop and hand-pour the candle to complement each unique piece.
Made with Swedish rapeseed wax especially formulated for excellent scent throw. The fragrance oils are sourced from Grasse, France, and carefully selected to reflect the character and personality of each individual ALKERAMIK vessel.

ENERGY
The ceramic vessel is fired using renewable electricity
USE
Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before each use. Keep the wax free from wick trimmings and other debris. Follow the burning instructions supplied with the candle.
REUSE & CARE
Once the candle is finished, remove all remaining wax and the wick base, then wash the bowl thoroughly. The cleaned ceramic bowl is food-safe, dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe. Reuse it for matcha, tea or small servings.
SAFETY
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, animals, draughts and flammable materials. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not move while lit or hot. Follow the safety label supplied with the candle.
