A moment of surrender.
This is an expressionist portrait painted in oil with my palette knife. I aimed for strong, warm colors, something loud on the wall but not threatening. The work was exhibited in Gothenburg in 2025 and is created with a raw and spontaneous technique, almost as if I was in a trance. Up close, I can see how the colors have blended without my decision, which is my intention. I refuse to control the paint. If I do, it owns me, and I am no longer free as a painter.
