"After years of painting in line with producing aesthetically pleasing work, one day it stopped. Painting motifs that sell and fit into interior design was no longer an option, the paintings lacked soul, which made it unsustainable to work with. I wanted to create something more with each painting. Build my own worlds and scenes. Make the emotions appear on the canvas. Be able to bring out the joy on the canvases, but also the anxiety and sadness. What used to be a pure struggle to achieve perfection has now become a journey with each new painting. I want and believe that the audience will eventually see what I see in these personal works and understand how much underlying information there is in each motif." 

'1986 till now' is a series of paintings that began to take shape after the artist gained access to a larger number of photos from his childhood, which were recently digitized. All paintings are created from memories and images and are to some extent fiction in the sense that different memories and places can be combined in the same work. This idea grew over a long period of time and is now finally starting to take shape and be immortalized on canvas. The collection contains many references from primarily growing up in the 90s, but will over time cover the entire span from 1986 to the present day in an exciting documentary painting experiment.
