vssl ceramics co began in the corner of a teeny tiny Seattle apartment, then a slightly less tiny corner in Malmö, and now in a much bigger studio in Mitt Möllan where each piece is made from start to finish by hand and with love. The goal of vssl ceramics co is to add whimsy to function– to place playful pops of color into modern settings and to tuck bright patterns next to neutrals.

A childhood spent in studios and art spaces--and a basement filled with a never-ending supply of art supplies-- led Lauryn Blomqvist to add pottery into the mix of her career as a multimedia artist. While predominantly a maker of ceramic housewares, she also works in a happy variety of illustration, painting, photography and jewelry.
