Collection: Vivecka Norberg

I was born and raised on the island of Gotland but now live i Huddinge. Alongside my work as a midwife, I devote my time to painting, which is a great passion of mine.

Creativity has always been an integral part of my life but since 2019 I have immersed myself in acrylic painting.

I draw inspiration from experiences and emotions, as well as from nature, the sea and the ever-changing qualities of light. A work may begin with an idea, but through the unpredictable technique of the palette knife it often takes a new direction as the process unfolds.

My paintings exist in the borderland between abstraction and landscape, where the recognizable is constantly dissolved in favor of a more open and associative expression.
I hope that those who encounter my work will be moved, sense a presence, or perhaps discover a new space or feeling to step into.
