My name is Emma and I’m the creator behind TYKEN Studio based in Gothenburg.

I’ve always loved being creative and making things by hand. A few years ago I discovered ceramics and quickly became hooked. I work mainly with handbuilding techniques and stoneware clay, creating playful and functional pieces, homeware and one-of-a-kind objects.

I love the perfectly imperfect nature of handmade ceramics. Every piece is shaped, glazed and finished by hand. No two pieces are ever exactly alike, and small variations give each one its own character.

I love playing with colour, shape, patterns and textures. Earthy tones meet bold pops of colour.
