Collection: Thomas OKOK Gunnarsson

Thomas OKOK Gunnarsson is a Swedish self-taught artist, documentary filmmaker, illustrator, and photographer based in Stockholm. With over 35 years within the Swedish graffiti scene, he has developed a multidisciplinary practice that moves between contemporary art, spray-can painting, and large-scale public expression.

Thomas has built a body of work spanning murals, works on paper, photography, film, and public installations. His work has been exhibited internationally in cities such as New York, Paris, Osaka, Kyoto, Lublin, and Stockholm. His short documentary Bombing with Zexor was screened at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York in 2019.

Working with ink, acrylics, crayons, and other tools on acid-free paper, he constructs intricate compositions built almost entirely from flowing, deliberate lines. Each mark carries direction and intention. Lines intersect, separate, dissolve, and reconnect — forming organic systems that oscillate between structure and spontaneity.
