About Studio Cajsa Carlenius
Hello! My name is Cajsa and I create ceramics under the name Studio Cajsa Carlenius.
I work mostly in stoneware and porcelain clay and use varying techniques to achieve the desired end result. I hand build candelabras, turn utensils and roll wall vases and dishes and in various clays. Contrasts such as dark matte black chamotte clay and glossy tiled creeper glaze are central to my expression. Much of what I create has an extra dimension with a tactile experience. I have taken my inspiration from nature and the shapes and colors of the sea. My works are often earthy with an organic expression.
