Collection: Studio Bonanza

About Louise

Color, form, and texture have always been a natural part of my creative expression – first as a makeup artist in the fashion industry, and now through my lamp-making at Studio Bonanza. Here, I hand-paint lamps that I assemble from glass vases and bowls. I often use vintage glass, both for its aesthetic and to work in a more sustainable way.

Craftsmanship has always been present in my life, both professionally and personally. I grew up in a home where most things were made from scratch – my mother sewed and knitted, my father built furniture and worked with wood – and that spirit has stayed with me. Studio Bonanza grew out of the desire to create something of my own, at my own pace and in my own way.

Each lamp is hand-painted and often combined in unique shapes and colors, giving every piece its own personality. I became drawn to spray painting after seeing a brown-beige metal lamp on a secondhand site. The simplicity in how the colors faded into one another sparked my interest in exploring color combinations, transitions, and proportions.

Today, the focus lies on color and craftsmanship – taking something that already exists and transforming it into something new, with a distinctly personal style.
