I’m Sofie Säfvenberg, an artist living and working in Stockholm. My work has taken me to exhibitions in Stockholm’s Old Town, Rome and Barcelona, and in recent years I’ve been drawn to exploring the joy of gathering. In my latest series, food and drink become symbols of connection — oysters, martinis, wine glasses and olives — small but meaningful reminders of pleasure and togetherness.
This exploration grows naturally from my broader practice. Since 2018 I’ve been painting mainly in acrylic and watercolor, working with abstraction while staying deeply inspired by nature and the sea. For me, painting is both a way to process impressions and to create spaces of calm and curiosity.
