About Simona

I work with identity, perception and the inner life as something layered rather than fixed. My paintings explore how we hold ourselves together and what happens when we allow more of what lives beneath the surface to be seen.

My earlier work is characterised by strong structure, geometric clarity, and a refined visual language. Over time, this has evolved into a more layered and psychologically raw expression, where layering and shadow play a central role. The foundation remains the same: precision as containment, structure as a way to hold complexity.

I paint from lived experience, allowing each work to unfold over time rather than forcing resolution. The paintings are not only decorative objects, but spaces to live with—works that mirror different inner states as they shift.

Collectors are drawn to my work intuitively. Some to the clarity, others to the depth of the shadows. Both belong to the same inquiry.
