About Sara
Through a curiosity in finding affiliation within design, Sara Nygård’s(SE) work has its origins in fashion spanning into visual communication and beyond. The knitting started at the age of 12 and has since been a leisure companion that has advanced over time. By using intarsia and popping colour combinations, Sara's visual world becomes textured objects to be felt and worn.
From the studies at HDK-Valand and Sandberg Instituut(Gerrit Rietveld Academie), a larger research interests has formed that touches upon the methodologies that explore how we create together. Through facilitation and a crafty approach, Sara’s work forefronts the exchange amongst makers over the machinery of finalising set results.
