My name is Sara den Hartog, and I’m a painter from Karlstad, Sweden. Creativity has always been a natural part of my life—a way for me to relax, reflect, and escape the world around me.

I fell in love with watercolours early on. Their flowing, airy nature continues to inspire me, and I've grown to love how unpredictable they can be. I like to think of watercolour painting as a collaborative process between me and the medium.

Through my work, I want to highlight the small yet beautiful things in life: a good meal, beautiful weather, or a conversation with a friend. Besides that, I am also inspired by the Swedish nature and its tranquil atmosphere. I want my paintings to encapsulate its calm, fairytale-like essence, and the simple yet beautiful moments created there.
