I paint because I need to. Creating is where I feel most present, most grounded, and most myself. The small brushstrokes and intricate details reflect how I feel—I never want the process to end.

I experiment with a lot of different mediums, but the sheep have become my statement pieces. They entered my work by accident. One day, my brother and I went swimming, and he stopped to watch a flock of sheep. They were climbing on top of one another to reach the leaves of a tree. It was chaotic, silly, and unexpectedly beautiful. I began painting them in dreamy landscapes, and they’ve stayed with me ever since.
