Lisa Viola Setterberg founded qeenew in 2022 alongside her employment as designer. The company aims to manufacture new unique garments from 100% second-hand textiles. This can be curtains, tablecloths, sheets or by the meter it is not newly produced. The textiles are washed and pre-shrunk, any holes or spots are sorted or cut away before it is sewn together. By manufacturing something new from these textiles and placing them in a new context is created added value and extends the service life. The clothes and accessories are manufactured only in one copy so you as a customer can take pride in a unique garment that is manufactured in Sweden in a sustainable way, both environmentally and socially!

"Usually as a designer you draw the garment first and then choose the material which suits the construction, the area of use and of course prevailing trends. But I am inspired and start from the fabric and create based on it. Sometimes does the textile have limitations such as size, defects or material composition but then it is necessary to adapt the design to the material. So the fabric gets decide what it will be"
