My recent series was born from a phrase attributed to Jean-Luc Godard: “Style is violence.”
After creating a first body of work based on strict, geometric “existential blocks,” I realized that style itself had become a kind of armor—something that protected me but also confined me. To move forward, I chose disobedience.
In this new series, the blocks collapse, disintegrate, and fragment. Color clashes with color, forms dissolve, and composition resists stability. This deliberate sabotage of my earlier visual language is not chaos for its own sake, but a rebellion against repetition and control.
What emerges is a raw and visceral research: painting as an act of survival, where nothing is fixed, and impermanence becomes the only order.
