About Oskar

Oskar Gyllenhammar (b. 1991 in Hudiksvall) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Södermalm, Stockholm. His artistic practice primarily revolves around painting, but also encompasses music, film, photography, and design.

Gyllenhammar began his creative career as a songwriter and artist. At the age of 19, he embarked on the self-initiated tour 100 Gigs in 100 Days, which led to a record deal with EMI and his debut album, Tågen slutar aldrig gå härifrån, released in 2011. After several years in the music industry, he began working with film, photography, and graphic design. During the pandemic, painting came to occupy an increasingly central place in Oskar’s artistic practice.

Oskar Gyllenhammar’s painting is contemporary and figurative, characterized by an expressive visual language. His works often feature people and animals seen from unexpected perspectives, fragments of text, and architectural structures that create spatial depth.

In 2025, Oskar presented his first solo exhibition in Sweden. In 2026, he has participated in exhibitions in Sweden and Switzerland.
