Ninolla Elisabeth is a multi-disciplinary artist born in Portugal and now based in Sweden. Having studied Visual Art at Faculdade de Ciencias Humanas e Sociais in Faro, Portugal, she continually seeks to expand her knowledge and explore new techniques. Fascinated by the impressionists from an early age, Elisabeth embarked on a quest for a personal artistic language, driven by a desire to express emotions. Her focus on portraying people, particularly women, stems from a deep-seated longing to convey and understand emotions—an infinite field she believes we are constantly broadcasting. After relocating to Denmark five years ago and experiencing a sense of overwhelm, Elisabeth began to question her artistic motivations.This epiphany fuelled her artistic journey, leading her to create portraits that symbolise the maternal figures of her past.
