Collection: My Art Stories

About Mikaela

Mikaela designs ceramics and photographic art inspired by the Swedish landscape and the flow of life. Drawn to nature and the landscape, she longs for form, colour, and expression. Through contact with natural materials, she creates unique ceramic and photographic works — bringing art into your home, your everyday life, and special occasions.

“I’m deeply drawn to the ocean and the coastline — places where the boundary between the inner and outer worlds seems to dissolve. My work is rooted in this connection. The ocean is more than inspiration — it’s a mirror, a guide, and a collaborator in my process. I combine organic forms with the intimacy and closeness of nature and life in my expressions.”

Ever since she was a child, she has spent time at her grandparents’ summer home on the West Coast of Sweden. Today, Mikaela has a studio along the coast, still deeply connected to the coastal landscape and its rhythms. Nature remains a central source of inspiration, informing both her sculptural work and her photography. Through ceramics and photography, she creates glimpses of the flow of life as it moves through time and space.
