My name is Majken Hendriks, a Swedish-American ceramicist from California, now living in Stockholm’s archipelago.

I was introduced to clay in my late teens and quickly became captivated by its possibilities and permanence —a fascination that has stayed with me ever since. I primarily work with hand-building techniques, focusing on sculptures, vases, and wall-mounted pieces.

Each of my creations are hand-painted and fired twice, beginning as stoneware slabs before being sculpted into their final forms. Every piece is one of a kind, made with the intention of being an individual. I draw inspiration from the organic spontaneity of nature and the quiet mischief it holds. Flower petals unfurling toward the sun or the deep blue of dusk. My hope is that these pieces inhabit your space not just as objects, but as companions—imbued with expression and playfulness, bridging the functional and the charming.
