Collection: Louise Beadle

Louise Beadle (b. 2001) is a Danish artist based in Copenhagen. Self-taught, she has worked with art from an early age and has developed portraiture as her central mode of expression. Her practice encompasses paintings of faces, bodies, and flowers, through which she explores motifs that exist between the recognizable and the dissolved, with a focus on identity, emotion, and transformation.

She primarily works with acrylic and oil, as well as engraving on reflective materials such as steel and aluminum, where light, layers, and movement become an active part of the work. A key premise in her practice is the idea that humans mirror one another—fragments of the same existence. Her works engage the viewer through reflection and create a dialogue between subject, surface, and observer, where the painting emerges as a state rather than a fixed form.
