KLC, born in 1974 on Södermalm in Stockholm, is a multidisciplinary artist with strong roots in the city. He grew up in Akalla and spent extensive time on Kastellholmen, where his grandmother lived, which gave him early access to Moderna Museet’s galleries and creative workshops. Inspired and encouraged by people around him, his artistic engagement began early and has shaped his entire career. Since 1993, Patrick has worked professionally with digital design, specializing in branding and digital visual design. He signs his paintings “KLC,” derived from his Asian name, Kim Leong Choong, reflecting pride in his heritage and creating a personal link between origin and expression. His work spans acrylic painting with abstract elements, as well as ink and digital illustration. From his Stockholm home studio, he creates emotionally charged works marked by rich color, depth, and an urban, street-art aesthetic.
