Katarina explores passages and transformations with influences from landscapes and cyclical processes.
In my painting I seek a language for what moves beneath the surface — where memories, rhythms and fragments of landscape glide together. Through layers upon layers of color, structure and traces I let the paintings emerge as organic maps: of emotions, inner states and outer nature. In my paintings there is an ongoing dialogue, between what has been and what is present. It is a silent conversation between the inner and the outer, what is fading away and what is emerging.
