Collection: Jimmy Ekman

I am a full-time visual artist working primarily with painting. My studio is located in southern Stockholm, where I develop my work through a slow and intuitive process. My paintings often revolve around nature, light, and animal motifs, exploring states between stillness and movement, memory and presence. I am drawn to moments that feel familiar yet slightly displaced, where realism meets abstraction. The studio is both a workspace and a place for reflection, allowing each image to evolve over time. My practice is grounded in traditional painting while remaining open to experimentation, with an emphasis on atmosphere, depth, and emotional resonance rather than narrative or concept.
