Collection: Iselinn Olsen Ekerhult

Creativity has always been close to me. I come from a long line of women who painted before me. Knowing that creativity has been passed down through generations makes me feel connected to something bigger, and their stories are what have encouraged me to explore and grow.

It wasn’t until I lived in the U.S. and took a painting class that I truly began to paint myself. Since then, painting has become a natural part of my everyday life, something I return to again and again.

I started working with acrylics, but more recently I've fallen in love with oil paints and the depth and softness you can achieve with them. I'm still in an experimental phase, trying out different styles, techniques and ideas. Even though I'm still navigating my personal style, I've noticed a theme of femininity and bold, vibrant colors that always seems to find its way back into my paintings.
