About Emmi
Emmi is an artist from Halmstad, based in Gothenburg, who wants to learn every craft under the sun. She draws her inspiration from the ever-changing nature of the Swedish west coast, with seaweed and flowers winding their way across everything from postcards and prints, to wax cloths and cushion covers. The organic shapes also come to life in her handmade sculptures, where animals, plants, and mythical creatures emerge in a playful blend of reality and imagination. She likes working with rich, dark colors and organic shapes. Both digitally and by hand, using everything from soft pastels, to oils, pencils, traditional printing techniques, clay and wool.
