Collection: Emmeli Holm Metallformgivning

About Emmeli

My name is Emmeli Holm and I am a precious metalsmith and jewelry artist. My creative process is based on traditional craftsmanship in gold, silver, brass and copper, where I playfully explore form and material. I was educated in metal design at Leksand Folk High School and then deepened my knowledge as an apprentice at Lod Metallformgivning in precious metal forging. Today I work in the cozy and creative environment at Smedjan Blackeberg in Stockholm, together with other blacksmiths and artists.

I strive to unite color, function and form and draw inspiration from the quiet complexity of space, the forms of nature and the rhythm of music. Many of my jewelry are created through sand casting, where the metal takes an imprint of the sand and each casting gets a unique structure. This makes the process both structured and free, where chance and the unexpected have a place.

For me, each piece of jewelry should convey a story or feeling and emerge from the meeting between idea and material.
