My artistry is deeply rooted in memories that together form a whole. I like to focus on the smaller parts that are easily overlooked. A quiet moment, a still place, a vast life. Small moments and places can evoke powerful emotions and countless memories. That is what I want to highlight with my art. Small details are a common thread throughout all of my work. I also strive for strong contrasts in my paintings – with both bright and colorful motifs, as well as dark and muted elements. Watercolor is a technique that has always captured my interest. The way water blends with pigment creates a living expression that cannot be found in any other medium. Water is also a recurring motif in my paintings, as I have been connected to it throughout my entire life. The power and strength, but also the vulnerability and movement that the sea symbolizes, hold an allure that is hard to resist.
