Welcome to Beknitted

Behind Beknitted is the Jämtland textile artist Susanne Österberg. Through her knitted works, she weaves together tradition with design, craft with art, and creates a unique expression that is deeply rooted in our culture and heritage, while at the same time innovative and groundbreaking.

The patterns often draw inspiration from the barren but beautiful nature of the north, fairy tales, myths and folklore. The timeless and graphic design gladly blurs the line between what is beautiful and not, reality and fantasy, dream and wakefulness.

Susanne, who is a proud member of Konsthantverkscentrum, is passionate about creativity, the craft and the material. Each textile is knitted by hand, stitch by stitch, in carefully selected natural materials such as wool and linen.
