Welcome to Beknitted

Behind Beknitted is the textile artist Susanne Österberg from Jämtland. Through her knitted works, she weaves together tradition with design, craftsmanship with art, and creates a unique expression that is deeply rooted in our culture and heritage, but is also innovative and creative.

The patterns often draw inspiration from the barren but beautiful nature of the north, fairy tales, myths and folklore. The timeless and graphic design likes to blur the line between what is beautiful and not, reality and fantasy, dream and wakefulness.

In a time of overproduction, Beknitted chooses slow fashion where kindness to each other and our environment, creativity and authenticity are both heart and soul. Each textile is knitted by hand, stitch by stitch, in carefully selected natural materials such as wool and linen.
