Collection: Atelier April

My ceramic work is shaped by the meeting of two coastlines: the west coast of Sweden and the west coast of the US. Places where the ocean is ever-present, where light shifts across the water’s surface, and where organic forms are slowly shaped by time, movement, and tide.

I draw inspiration from life beneath the surface. From diving, the stillness and weightlessness underwater, from the flowing forms of coral, seaweed, and shells. The ocean is both powerful and fragile, and it is within that tension that my creative expression takes form.

Though ceramics, I found a language that allows for both intention and unpredictability. Each piece is shaped by hand, slowly and intuitively, carrying visible traces of the process — folds, flows, and surfaces that can never be exactly repeated.

My objects exist between the functional and the sculptural. They are made to be used, but also to simply be.
