Bertil Sparr grew up in the south of Sweden, but lives now in Enköping just outside Stockholm. Since childhood, he has held a keen interest in aesthetics—spanning nature, architecture, interior design, music, and art. Creativity has been a main factor through out his professional career. Since a few years back he finally had the opportunity to immerse himself in art, focusing primarily on watercolor painting.

His work encompasses naturalistic landscapes as well as abstract and surrealist motifs. He draws inspiration from both the natural world and his own inner reality.

Bertil is primarily self-taught, though he has also taken numerous courses in watercolor painting and drawing.
