Annie Sjöwall is a Stockholm-based illustrator working primarily with analogue materials. Her practice centres around figurative forms, expressive line and a tactile sense of colour.
Rooted in fashion but moving freely between art and illustration, her work explores movement, silhouette and emotional presence. She is drawn to the imperfect and the slightly unsteady — allowing the hand to remain visible in each piece. Gesture, texture and subtle irregularities are embraced rather than corrected.
With studies in Fashion Design at Beckmans College of Design and a background in architecture, Annie approaches her work as both observation and interpretation — balancing structure with spontaneity.
